16. Annex: supplementary information

This annex supplements clauses 1 to 15 with information applicable to the payment processor and the app stores.

B.1. Payments and Paddle (Merchant of Record). The order process and payment processing are carried out by Paddle.com, which acts as Merchant of Record and as an independent controller of payment and billing data. The Company does not collect or store full payment-card details. Paddle's processing is governed by its privacy policy, available at paddle.com/legal/privacy. Paddle shares limited order and billing-contact information with the Company to fulfil the order and provide support.

B.2. Processors and sub-processors. The Company does not sell personal data. It discloses data only to the providers necessary to operate the service, acting on the Company's behalf:

  • Paddle: payments, billing, tax and merchant-of-record services.
  • Google Firebase / Google Cloud: authentication and database for Application data.
  • Vercel: website and application hosting and content delivery.
  • Resend: transactional email delivery (verification and notifications).
  • Upstash: rate limiting and abuse prevention.
  • Microsoft, Google, Dropbox, Box and other storage providers: only where the User chooses to connect a file-storage integration.

B.3. The Surco mobile app. If the User uses the Surco mobile app, the following also applies. The app stores the session and a copy of the project data the User opens (schedules, drawings, punch list items and workflow records) on the device so it keeps working without a connection; this local copy is removed when the User signs out or uninstalls the app. Photos the User captures with the camera or chooses from the photo library are attached to the selected project record and become part of User Content; the app accesses the camera or photo library only when the User chooses to attach a photo. If the User allows notifications, a push notification token for the device is stored, linked to the account, solely to deliver alerts such as work assignments; notifications can be disabled in the device settings and the token is removed when the User signs out. The app contains no advertising and no third-party tracking, and it does not access the User's precise location, contacts or microphone.

B.4. California residents. California residents may have rights under the CCPA/CPRA to know, access, correct and delete their personal information, and to opt out of its “sale” or “sharing”. The Company does not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law, and does not use sensitive personal information for purposes that require an opt-out. To exercise these rights, write to hello@surco.dev. The Company will not discriminate against anyone for exercising them.
